The Food Pantry is open on Thursday mornings from 10 – 12 a.m. St Pius needs one person to work each time it is open. We have scheduled volunteers who work one day a month, listed in our weekly bulletin. We are in need of substitutes to call on as needed.
We help people needing food in the 71107 zip code only. In 2015 we helped 1,075 families consisting of 1,758 adults and 1,182 children. A new client comes in; a card is filled out with address, number of children and adults living in the home. Proof of identification with current address is required. A client can come once a month for a total of 12 months. After 12 months they are removed from our active file but in emergency cases may be extended.
We are always in need of staple items of foods and/or money gifts. Any checks should be made out to North Highlands Methodist Church Food Pantry, mailed to them or given to a food pantry worker. You will find additional needs listed in our church bulletin each Sunday. Any donation will be welcomed and used for this very important ministry
Come by anytime we are open and see how you are helping feed those in need in our area.
If you have any questions or wish to volunteer, contact the Church.
